A Pomodoro timer — with a receipt.

A small taste of Blocks, the focus feature inside PravaApp.

The method

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time-management method created by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. You break work into focused intervals — traditionally 25 minutes — separated by short breaks. Each interval is called a "pomodoro."

Blocks runs the technique in your browser with 10, 25, 50, or 90-minute focus Blocks and 5, 10, or 15-minute Break Blocks. Free, no signup, no installation.

Most Pomodoro timers stop there: they count minutes. Blocks adds the missing piece — an honest receipt of where your attention actually went, so you can see what helped your focus and what broke it.

Our commitment

Make the hidden visible — so you can focus better.

We believe you can't improve what you can't see. This free browser Block shows you what we could — tab in, tab out.

What it can't see: whether you opened email, pulled up a YouTube study playlist, or picked up your phone.

Install PravaApp and we go deeper — a real focus rating, an Attention Coach, and one receipt across Mac, Windows, Android, and phone.

That's how you improve how you spend your time — by finally seeing it.

The building blocks

The three kinds of Blocks

01

Focus Block

Work time. Your devices quietly note what actually happens. When the timer ends, you see where your attention really went and get a real focus rating.

02

Break Block

Rest time. Screens allowed. We don't grade your break — rest isn't something to score. You just get credit for taking it.

03

Offline Block

Screen-free time. Want to walk, eat, or be present without checking your phone? Start one. Any second on a screen drops your score. Great for reclaiming time.

Not available in the browser — a tab can't verify you're away from screens. Needs the real app.

Three steps

How a Block works

  1. You commit. Pick the kind, pick how long, hit start.
  2. Reality watches. Your devices note what's actually happening — not what you think happened.
  3. You get a receipt. One honest page showing exactly where your attention went.

Frequently asked

Common questions

What's a Focus Block?

It's a focus session with a receipt. Pick a time, work, and when the timer ends you'll see exactly which apps took your attention, how long, and whether they helped or distracted you.

How is a Block different from a Pomodoro?

A Pomodoro is a timer. A Block is a timer plus a receipt. Pomodoro tells you "you worked 25 minutes." A Block tells you "25 minutes — and here's exactly how it went."

Can you track focus without blocking apps?

That's the whole idea. PravaApp doesn't block anything. If you want to open Instagram, open it — you'll just see it on your receipt.

Why doesn't the browser version show a real receipt?

A tab in your browser can only see itself. The full app sees across every app on every device. That's the difference.

Is my data private?

Your data is yours. We don't sell it, don't share it, don't use it for ads. Ever.

What devices does PravaApp work on?

Android, Windows, and Mac. iPhone is coming.

Is it free?

The browser timer here is free forever. The full app has a free tier — no card needed to start.

How do notifications work on iPhone?

iPhone Safari doesn't show browser notifications unless you install the page. The timer still works — you'll see a completion overlay and hear a chime. The full PravaApp on iPhone will handle notifications natively when it ships.
